RIFLE RAFFLE DRAWING ON JANUARY 17, 2004

Produced to honor the genius and unrelenting spirit of adventure shown by the Wright brothers 100 years ago, this limited edition commemorative rifle is a fully-functioning Winchester 94 chambered in .45 Colt, intricately engraved and decorated with jeweler's grade nickel-silver and 24-karat gold. Along with the Artist's proof, only 100 individually numbered rifles (1903 - 2003) will be produced to insure the integrity of this special series.

Don't miss your chance to win the Artist's Proof of the First Flight Centennial Commemorative Rifle. Raffle tickets are $50 each, and are available through the on line store. Proceeds benefit the First Flight Foundation.

KILL DEVIL HILLS, NORTH CAROLINA
Point of Arrival and Point of Departure
Washington State to KDH -- Eleven Emerald Ridge aviation students, and two Emerald Ridge graduates will be leaving soon for the First Flight Celebration being held in Kitty Hawk North Carolina. While most students will travel via commercial airlines, four students will make the cross-country trip on a twin engine plane. Students and pilots depart from Puyallup, WA on Tuesday, December 9th, headed for Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. (Remember, guys, the closest GA airport is Dare County Regional!)

KDH to Woloomanata -- Don't ask us how to pronounce it, but our best wishes go with three Australian aviators departing the Outer Banks today en route to Woloomanata. Pilots John Pettit, Boyd Monroe and Fabio Betin are making the trip as part of Air Safety Australia's Celebration of the Joy of Flight. The trio plans to fly to the "land down under" via Iceland and Greenland and will make refueling stops at JFK in New York City, Scotland, Heathrow in London, Ankara, Tehran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, the Bay of Bengal, Singapore and Bali before landing at Woloomanata, a site owned by Pettit that served as a base for Spitfires during World War II.
