Become a Volunteer

There are many volunteer opportunities that are needed and available with the First Flight Centennial Celebration.

To apply to become a First Flight Centennial volunteer, we need you to open and print this Volunteer Application, which is a pdf (Adobe Acrobat) file. For the Adobe Acrobat reader (free), click here.

There are monthly events held throughout the centennial year, which will last from a few hours to a few days.  If you are interested in volunteering for these events, please add “I’ll do it” under the phrase “Experience Your America” on page two of the application.  You can also list your preference of events.  For a list of events click here.

Volunteers agree to work the entire Celebration, December 12 - 17, 2003 and to attend a mandatory training. All applicants must have a criminal background check and a driver’s license check. Only completed applications can be reviewed. We will need a cover letter stating your interest in volunteering, a completed and signed Volunteer Application and a resume. Due to the large number of applications, we cannot confirm the receipt of an application package. Successful applicants will be notified by August 2003.
